A rowing boat glides gently over the tranquil Lake Zug and the first rays of sunshine illuminate the Rigi. In the middle of this idyll lies the new La Colombe Boutique Hotel. The hotel in Zug's old town will finally be able to open its doors and receive guests for the first time from 1 October. The Restaurant zur Taube , which is attached to the hotel, was opened by the tenant couple Aline Sigrist and Giovanni Melis a year ago.
Eight apartments and a penthouse The boutique hotel comprises eight apartments, each with a living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and balcony. Depending on the city or lake view, the apartments can be booked for a price of CHF to CHF per night, and the additional penthouse, which extends over three floors, from CHF per night.
The hotel's fitness room with a lake view can be freely used by all guests. Original structures give character The tenant duo has aligned the entire furnishings to the building's own charm. During the two-year restoration of the building, which has walls dating back to the 13th century, many original features such as old wooden beams or a tiled stove were retained. Combined with the interior design in white and grey, the flair of both the new and old is thereby conveyed.
Aline Sigrist describes the rooms of the hotel as "discreet and elegant, but still restrained and not intrusive". The interior design was carried out in cooperation with Annex Home from Zug.
